Focusing more on local numbers than toll-free service, VoiceNation concentrates on helping small businesses look like big businesses and get a few specialized features. It also touts itself as highly customizable for what you need most. Here's the quick-list on what VoiceNation does best and worst:
Live Answering Service. At about thirty dollars a month, you get a real person from VoiceNation answering incoming phone calls for your business, taking orders, messages, forwarding calls, and similar administrative tasks. It's not quite the same as having an employee (they don't know the ins and outs of your business), but it's a nice option for the right kind of customer. Good For Lone Businessmen. For a single person running their own business, VoiceNation provides good service at a great price. As soon as you hit two people, the deal isn't quite as good, but they've got a great deal for single-serving hosted PBX. Overall: VoiceNation for the lone entrepreneur is an appealing package, since most of the more advanced services aren't necessary for just one person and the price is low. Aside from that, I can't recommend them until I've done a full product review and can confirm for myself how advanced the VoiceNation package really is.
